Supporting Urban Institute staff’s efforts to organize
On April 13, Urban Institute nonsupervisory staff announced that they have formed a union. As supervisory staff, those of us who are signing this statement cannot join the union, but we support the right of non-supervisory staff to organize. Therefore, we urge President Sarah Rosen Wartell to voluntarily recognize the union. Doing so is in keeping with Urban’s values of equity and inclusion and will benefit the organization as a whole.
